2024 YORKSHIRE INVITATIONAL
Friday, 14 June 2024
The 2024 Yorkshire Invitational is coming up soon. It’s free for spectators to see household names and faces line up at this stunning venue, but if you need any more persuasion about why you should attend, read what previous participants have said.
SGH Events Yorkshire Invitational 2024 is coming up very soon, and you can come and watch famous faces and celebrities play at Ilkley Golf Club entirely for free.
Ryder Cup-winning captain Thomas Bjorn hosts this year’s rendition following last year’s three-way playoff drama, with Matt Cort eventually emerging victorious in the alliance format.
The 2024 event takes place on Tuesday, 27 August, and Wednesday, 28 August, and it always attracts marquee, household names that you know and love.
But don’t just take our word for it - a number of players and sports stars have told us how much they have enjoyed the event of the years.
Take a look at the glowing reviews SGH Events has received in years gone by:
Iain Pyman - Former European Tour player
“It’s unbelievable - I think last year was my second year. It’s absolutely amazing - the way they look after us, how professionally it’s done, it just shows by the amount of players that keep turning up each year and the celebrities we get. It’s a hell of an event and long may it continue.”
Gary McAllister - Former Scotland, Leeds United and Liverpool footballer
“The course was outstanding and it’s a beautifully organised event as well. I’ve got to say it’s top drawer.”
Michael Campbell - 2023 tournament host
“I loved it - it’s great. I really enjoyed being a host - it was a real privilege. It’s been a brilliantly run event by SGH and it’s a fantastic course here.”
Paul Eales - Former European Tour player and BBC and Sky pundit
“It’s always great to come back - such a great Yorkshire welcome. It’s been sensational - we’ve had ice creams, we’ve had shortbreads, we’ve had all sorts of stuff, and an Ilkley beer so it’s been great.”
Nile Wilson - Olympic gymnastic bronze medallist
“I love my golf and I’ve been super-excited playing here. It’s an unbelievable venue.”
Mark James - Ilkley member and former Ryder Cup captain
“It’s not far off a Legends Tour event and it’s just a joy to play.”
Georgia Coughlin - Ladies European Tour player
“It’s run so well and it’s a no-brainer to play here because it’s a nice, relaxed atmosphere.”
DJ Russell - former European Tour player
“It’s a beautiful course and the facilities are great - I’ll definitely be back.”
Spectators can still register their interest in the 2024 event, and if you are interested in playing or sponsoring the competition in 2025, speak with SGH Events and we’d be delighted to help.
